Steven Maraka- Our Alumni

Steven Maraka is a dynamic young professional in the field of Animal Production and Health Management. Born on May 25, 1998, Steve has always been passionate about agriculture and the welfare of animals. He pursued his academic journey at Bukura Agricultural College, where he specialized in Animal Production and Health Management, graduating in March 2022.

Armed with a strong academic foundation and a desire to make a meaningful impact in the agricultural industry, Steve ventured into the heart of Europe. Currently, at the Skipton Agricultural Centre in United Kingdom, Steve has been dedicating his time and expertise to contribute to the agricultural landscape of the region.

At the age of 25, Steve Makara represents the future of sustainable agriculture. His commitment to the well-being of animals, combined with his academic achievements, positions him as a promising force in the field. With two years of European experience under his belt, Steve continues to grow and evolve in his career, making a positive difference in the agricultural sector.

Steve is not just a young professional; he is a visionary in the world of agriculture, dedicated to ensuring the health and productivity of animals while fostering sustainable practices in the industry. His journey is one of passion, dedication, and a commitment to a brighter and more sustainable future for agriculture in Europe and beyond.
 

About

Bukura Agricultural College grew from the former Bukura Institute in 1974 under the Ministry of Agriculture with the mandate of offering certificate courses in Agriculture. In 1992, the Institute’s status was upgraded from awarding certificate courses to awarding Diploma courses in Agriculture and renamed Bukura Agricultural College (BAC). Following the enactment of the Bukura Agricultural College Act, Cap.348 of 1999, BAC became a state corporation under the then Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries. The College is currently operating as a State Corporation under the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation.
