Currently, there are two sections under this Department, each headed by a Head Section, namely:

1. Animal Science
2. Animal Health

The Department offers the following two Diplomas, three Certificate training Programmes and three skill-based short courses:

1. Three-year Diploma in Animal Production and Health Management
2. Three-year Diploma in Animal Health and Production
3. Two and half year Certificate in Animal Health and Production
4. One year Upgrading Certificate in Animal Health
5. One-month Certificate in Artificial Insemination
6. Kienyeji poultry
