ORGANIZATION PROFILE

 

Bukura Agricultural College, situated in Kakamega County, is a state corporation established by an Act of Parliament to provide middle level training in agriculture and related fields. The College started in 1974 as an Institute of Agriculture; the Institute was later upgraded to a diploma College in 1992. The College has been involved in provision of extension and outreach services to the farming community as part of its mandate.

The College which achieved ISO certification in 2012 boasts of a highly trained and motivated staff force; teaching demonstration and research farm; and practically oriented and demand driven training programmes.

As a State Corporation in the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, the College contributes to the realization of the Kenya Vision 2030 by improving access to agricultural extension to farmers, strengthening agricultural research and development, promoting various agricultural value chains and promoting agricultural trainings among the youth.

The College would therefore like to bring to your attention availability of the following affordable short courses which can benefit the groups such as youth, women, and farmers among others in your County for your consideration.

These trainings can either be conducted in-house or at Bukura Agricultural College, depending on your choice of venue.
