Our programmes have strong practical and applied components, which put emphasis on- hands-on approach and participation in carrying out relevant research and outreach activities aimed at not only in increased agricultural production, marketing value chain but also in environmental protection.

The Department has a total of twenty one members of staff. Five members of the academic staff in the Department are either qualified up to or are pursuing their Master’s degrees. The department is currently engaged in collaborative extension efforts with the KAPAP to ensure that staff are aware of the on farm challenges and incorporate them in their training of students.
